The Arts Office is thrilled to launch the eleventh year of MS Arts Audition Boot Camp. Please share this amazing student opportunity with current 7th grade students who have expressed an interest in screened arts high school programs. The application is both attached and shared below. Please note that the deadline to apply is March 28th. Auditions are in person on April 5 and 6, and all students must apply online to get an audition appointment. The flyer will be available shortly in nine languages; however, the online application link embedded below is in Google, which can be translated as needed. Please also find instructions attached, which will also be available in several languages shortly.

MS Arts Audition Boot Camp 2025 Overview
Dear Parents,
With the school’ s newly acquired Title 1 funding, we are excited to present a literacy workshop for our parents! During this workshop, parents will learn different strategies and skills to help strengthen their child' s decoding and comprehension skills at home.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025. This will be broken up into three half-hour sessions from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
If you would like to attend, please return the slip below by Friday, January 18th, 2025.

Student Council 2024
Soapbox NYC!
Yesterday we had the best kick-off ever for Soapbox NYC! Students from grades 2 to 8 were encouraged to participate in this incredible opportunity to write and deliver speeches about the issues we face in our community. We all know there are challenges that need our attention, and this is our chance to take action! Student Council representatives visited all of the classrooms with this message: Let’s come together, raise our voices with these tech-friendly pens from our generous sponsor Dr. Arbitman, and make a difference in our school community!

DISCOVERY DAY 2024!!
District 27 is having a district-wide event on Thursday, October 17th. On this day, PS/MS 232Q will open our doors for parents to visit their child’s class and take part in learning alongside them. Many of our parents participated and enjoyed Discovery Day last year, we hope to have another successful day for all! More details regarding times to visit for your child’s grade are to follow!! We hope to see you on Discovery Day!
